She Screams Without Sound Candlelight Vigil for Domestic Violence

Join us for the She Screams Without Sound Candlelight Vigil

for Domestic Violence

Tuesday, October 18, 2016, 6:15 – 8:15 p.m.

Hamilton County Courthouse

1000 Main Street

Cincinnati, OH 45202

She Screams Without Sound Candlelight Vigil was established in 1988, when more than 20 Hamilton County women were killed by their intimate partners. Alarmed by the devastating number of victims, Women Helping Women and the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati decided to do something to raise awareness in the community and within the Hamilton County court system.

A candlelight vigil memorial has been held every October since 1988, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to honor the victims, both known and unknown, to celebrate the lives of those who have survived domestic violence and to provide support and hope to children exposed to violence and loss.

On October 18th we again reunite to light candles for the victims who died during the year in Hamilton County and for all who survived. Please join us for this free event.
