Second Annual Purple Light Walk
Women Helping Women, along with the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati, Cincinnati Police Department, The K.A.S.S.I.E. Project, Zonta Cincinnati and other community partners, is pleased to announce Cincinnati’s second annual Purple Light Walk. This annual awareness-raising event will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 beginning at the Purple People Bridge overlooking the beautiful Ohio River, The Purple Light Walk will begin with a resource fair at 5:30pm. A short program will begin at 6:30pm and the 2 mile walk will begin at 7pm. It is free to all participants. Back by popular demand, the pre-walk event will be emceed by Citizens on Patrol Coordinator at Cincinnati Police District 1, Officer Princess Davis. Please come and “shine your light for the fight against domestic violence!”
