A Message from our President and CEO

Welcome to the 2019 Sunday Salon Series! We are pleased to present another exciting line up of homes, hosts, and speakers! And we are grateful for your support of Women Helping Women’s mission, now more than ever.

Women Helping Women’s mission is to prevent gender-based violence and to empower all survivors. Throughout 2018, our advocates responded 24/7 to their increasing needs. Women Helping Women helps survivors find hope, healing, and empowerment through our confidential support services. We inspire the community to speak out against gender-based violence, and speak up for equal and healthy relationships. We educate and advocate so that generations after us grow into change agents to prevent gender-based violence before it ever starts.

We know that our work changes lives. And we know that because of your support, our region can work together to create true change in the lives of our community members. No one should ever experience gender-based violence in the first place. Not in our homes, on our campuses, in our neighborhoods, at schools, or in our workplaces. Together, we are stronger than violence ever could be.

Thank you for supporting us by attending a Sunday Salon. We look forward to seeing you soon!

With gratitude,
Kristin Smith Shrimplin
President and CEO, Women Helping Women

All proceeds from the Sunday Salons benefit Women Helping Women (WHW), a non-profit dedicated to serving women and men who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. WHW staff and volunteers provide crisis intervention services including hotline, hospital accompaniment, court advocacy, support groups, and face-to-face advocacy. The agency also takes a leading role in educating the community about gender-based violence. WHW prides itself on being present at the places and times that survivors need them the most, reaching over 7,000 survivors each year. Your support of Sunday Salons helps WHW fulfill this mission

Registration for each salon closes on the Wednesday before the Salon so we are able to provide the host with an accurate count. Admission purchases cannot be exchanged or refunded. All sales are final. In the event of a weather emergency, please call 513-526-0687 for information about any cancellations. Many of the 2018 salons were sold out, so register early to insure your place.

To all the hosts who welcome us to their homes, offering delicious fare and warm hospitality to our guests, and to the speakers and presenters who generously share their time and talents, WHW offers its sincere thanks and gratitude.

Can’t make it to a salon? WHW relies largely on private donations for financial support. Your donation will be greatly appreciated.

We hope you’ll enjoy the season we offer. If you have ideas for speakers or hosts for future salons, want to volunteer to speak or host yourself, or would like to be part of our planning committee, please contact us at [email protected].
